Design Your Ideal Exit
Author, The Number Nobody Talks About — How to Prepare, Price and Sell Your Boutique Fitness Studio
Since 2020, I've brokered 70+ business sales totaling $30M — primarily in boutique fitness, health and wellness — with an 80% close rate, four times the industry average. I speak about the decisions that separate a legacy-defining exit from a disappointing one, and why the best time to start planning is now. Leave with a target valuation, a roadmap to your exit, and the confidence to get started today.
"Mitch brings more than expertise to the stage—he brings a level of wisdom and trust that genuinely resonates, no matter the room. His career has evolved from entrepreneur to advising on complex, high-level transactions, but what stands out most is how deeply he understands people. He has a way of cutting through the noise to what really matters—relationships, trust, and the decisions that shape meaningful outcomes. That's what makes him such a credible and compelling voice, well beyond any one industry."

Speaking Topics
Forged in real deals. Refined on real stages.
What Buyer Look For — and How to Be Ready Whether You Sell in Two Years or Ten
Every owner will exit eventually — the only question is whether you're ready when it happens. I've sat across the table from dozens of buyers, and the things they pay more for are the same things that make your business better right now: clean financials, a real team, and systems that transfer. You'll leave with moves you can start making today.
From Buyer to Seller to Broker: What 70 Deals Taught Me About Main Street M&A
I've given this talk to franchise owners, first-time entrepreneurs, and seasoned operators — and it lands every time. The stories are real, the lessons are specific, and people see themselves in it. No slides, no theory — just the stuff that actually happens when someone tries to buy or sell a business. It's the session your attendees will bring up at dinner.
The Emotional, Financial, and Legal Journey from Listing to Closing and Beyond
Confidentiality, competing offers, due diligence, SBA financing, and the emotional weight of letting go of something you built. I walk through every stage of the process — where deals fall apart, what the hardest moments actually feel like, and why the owners who come out ahead are never the ones who tried to do it alone.
"I've brought Mitch into every event I could since the moment I met him — first at BFS, now at NetGym — and the reaction is always the same. He shows up knowing who's in the audience, calibrates to match, and somehow makes a scary topic feel digestible and attainable. Exit planning used to be a conversation studio owners wouldn't even say out loud, but Mitch turned it into one they crave. He makes you trust his knowledge while making you feel seen. The more deeply you know a topic, the more simply you can speak about it; Mitch is proof of that."

About
From business owner to dealmaker
In 2012, my wife Karson and I bought a yoga studio in San Diego, grew it into a thriving community business, and sold it in 2019 for five times what we paid. That experience — seeing a business from every side as an owner, operator, buyer, and seller — became the foundation for everything I do now.
I created Boutique Fitness Broker in 2020. It's the only business brokerage focused entirely on boutique fitness — yoga, Pilates, Lagree, spa, recovery, and beyond. These are passion-led, owner-operator businesses where community and retention are everything.
The patterns I've seen across 70+ deals apply far beyond fitness. I help business owners envision their next chapter — and I deliver an engaging, actionable session that event planners can count on to leave a lasting impact on the room.
